Validation of VLOPS model 1.20 (VMM)

Validation and optimalisation of an atmospheric transport and dispersion model for priority substances in Flandres


The project B/07028/01 will deal with validating and optimizing. VLOPS 1.20 is a model that simulates the atmospheric process sequence of emission, dispersion, transport, chemical conversion and finally deposition of several pollutants like SO2, NOx, NH3, CO, benzene, etc, using high spatial resolution. The main purpose of the project is to find improvements in data and model so it can be used widely for creating concentration maps of pollutants for Flandres.
